How Sabacost calculates Minecraft hosting costs
Each result connects a listed plan, a billing term, a price, and a provider source. We show what the number includes and leave unresolved amounts visible.
Which prices we use
We prioritize a provider’s public product, pricing, order, and terms pages. A third-party article can help discover a provider, but it does not replace an official price source. The current English comparison is scoped to US-market pages and USD. Japan-only providers and JPY offers are kept in the Japanese market dataset.
Price data on this market page was last checked . A checked date records when we reviewed the source; it is not a guarantee that the provider still shows the same offer.
First payment, billing cycle, and renewal
The first-payment amount is the provider’s listed charge for the selected contract term. We count the number of those terms needed to cover the selected number of months. A three-month listing can require one quarterly invoice for one month of intended use, so its first invoice can be higher than a monthly plan even where its monthly equivalent is lower.
When a provider clearly labels the same discounted amount as recurring, we can use that displayed amount for the current renewal estimate. When a page lists a price but does not identify its renewal charge, renewal stays unknown. We do not copy an introductory amount into future invoices without evidence.
Known charges are not always the checkout total
Tax, setup fees, required add-ons, payment fees, and location-based adjustments are included only when an official source confirms the value and scope. A missing value is not treated as zero. The current USD plan prices are base amounts; because tax and some checkout charges are not confirmed, the calculator does not label any result an all-in checkout total.
Dates and cancellation reminders
A start date in the calculator produces an estimated calendar anniversary from the selected billing interval. It does not predict a provider’s processing time, time zone, grace period, or account-specific due date. PebbleHost’s terms say an invoice is generated seven days before renewal. Its terms also say an automatic-billing stop request requires a support ticket and remains active until the request is reviewed and confirmed. Always check your account.
The optional .ics file is generated in your browser from the date you enter. It reminds you to review a renewal; it does not store information on Sabacost or cancel a service.
Memory and player count
Memory labels are used to compare like-sized listed plans. They are not a performance benchmark. Player count is used only to divide the first known base invoice. It is not converted into a memory recommendation, because software, mods, world size, CPU, and hosting configuration also matter.
Affiliate independence
English provider buttons go to official provider pages and currently use no affiliate tracking. Some Japanese pages contain A8.net affiliate links. Affiliate status or commission does not enter the price calculation or order of results.
Monitoring and corrections
Prices and contract terms are reviewed against the provider sources recorded beside each result. We do not promise daily checking or instant updates. If a source changes or no longer supports a figure, we recheck the official information; unresolved amounts are marked unknown or removed from the comparison until the basis is clear. Verified corrections are recorded with the supporting source and checked date.
Limits of this comparison
We have not independently purchased or benchmarked the English-market plans. This site does not claim verified setup speed, uptime, server performance, latency, player capacity, or a best plan. Published prices can change, availability can vary, and checkout terms can depend on location.
